Trust & safety
Care is personal. Here is exactly what we check, what we hold, and where responsibility sits.
Identity verification
Government ID matched to a live selfie check before any badge is issued.
Police record checks
Certificate of character or police record, sighted and dated, re-checked every 12 months.
In-platform messaging
Conversations stay on ConnectCare so there is a record if something goes wrong.
Protected payments
Funds are held until a visit is confirmed complete, then paid out with receipts for both sides.
Where liability sits
ConnectCare is a marketplace and payment facilitator. We introduce families to caregivers, verify documents when a caregiver is on a paid tier, and process payment between the two parties.
We are not the employer of any caregiver, and we do not supervise, direct or deliver care. The care agreement is formed directly between the family and the caregiver, and liability for the services rendered including injury, loss or damage rests with those parties.
Families are encouraged to interview, check references, and hold appropriate insurance. Caregivers are encouraged to carry their own liability cover where available locally.
Report a concern
Anything that feels unsafe off-platform payment requests, false credentials, poor conduct should be reported. We suspend accounts while we investigate.
